Your 2012-2013 State President, Jennifer Tang, was born in Shanghai, China. She immigrated to the United States when she was 6 years old and adapted to American culture very quickly. During her sophomore year, Jennifer was first introduced to Nevada FBLA and because of her attendance at the 2011 SBLC, found a true passion for business. She believed that the ideals and goals of FBLA should be spread to more students across the state and pledged to run for FBLA State President.
Jennifer has learned many leadership lessons through attending the National Youth Leadership Forum, National Leadership Conference, and International Career Development Conference. She keeps busy by serving as the Community Service Chair for her local National Honor Society chapter, and as the treasurer for her school’s Hiking Club. In addition to her school activities, Jennifer actively participates in other volunteer activities like tutoring children for the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation at Sunrise Hospital.
In her limited free time, Jennifer likes to watch Korean and American dramas. Jennifer is a huge fan of the television show “House,” and dreams of administrating a chain of private practices across the nation.
This year, Jennifer wants to step up to the plate and actively promote FBLA to new schools and continue to build on the past successes of Nevada FBLA. Jennifer is honored that you put your trust in her for the coming year, and believes that she has a responsibility to motivate others to achieve success through FBLA.
Matthew Edgington

The sky was clear and the sun was out on October 30, 1995, FBLA had been around for 55 years. They had no idea significance of this day. 15 years later, the man born on that day would become Nevada FBLA’s 2011-2012 Northern Region Vice President and his involvement in FBLA had sprouted. The man was Matthew Edgington, who is now thrilled to serve as your Executive Vice President for the 2012-2013 year.
Born and raised under the Reno arch, Matt has lived there his whole life. Having FBLA run in the family, Matt has been a dedicated member his whole life, and this year will mark his second term as a Nevada FBLA State Officer.

Flora Shi
Vice President of Service
Flora Shi is elated to serve as your 2012-2013 VP of Service. She has been giving back to the community since her freshman year by volunteering at the library's circulation desk and tutoring elementary students at an after school program. Flora believes that her position as VP of Service will allow her to serve her community and state in an even greater manner.
Flora was born in Shanghai, China. She immigrated to the United States after 3rd grade and lived in Los Angeles, California for 7 years. After getting used to the warm breezes and green landscapes in Los Angeles, Flora moved to Las Vegas, where she realized strong winds and brown rocks aren't so bad after all.
Flora loves driving before the sun coming up. The calm and peaceful feeling can never be replaced by anything else. However, she thinks that a cool glass of tea on a hot summer day is definitely irreplaceable. Flora can’t go a day without having a glass of tea or a cup of coffee.
The stage became one of Flora's favorite places to be; her passion for speaking led her to apply for her current position. Flora also loves to make new friends. Her ability to illuminate one's emotions through a simple smile can cause comfort and peace of mind.
Flora knows that the 2012-2013 year will be filled with happiness, fun, and success as she serves as your new VP of Service.
