Hello Nevada FBLA, it is an honor for me to address all of you as President for the very first time. First, I would love to thank everyone who supported me at the State Business Leadership Conference. Every single one of your votes was greatly appreciated and I will never forget that the great members of Nevada FBLA allowed me to serve this phenomenal organization.
Over the past month, the officers and I have been developing goals for the future of our organization. At orientation a few weeks ago, the team came up with a few things to accomplish in the next year that we feel would greatly benefit our organization. A few of our goals include increasing membership through more chapter visits, adding accountability information into the SilverNotes Blog, and creating a brand new winter conference in every region. These goals may seem challenging at first, but the State Officers have confidence that we can achieve success as long as Nevada FBLA works together as a team.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the outstanding members who volunteered for the March of Dimes Fundraiser back at the end of April. Members of the State Officer Team and a few fantastic members from the Las Vegas area attended the biggest March of Dimes Fundraiser of the year. Many helped set up while also being able to network with a variety of distinguished individuals from the business community. The experience was truly gratifying and we look forward to continuing our great relationship with the March of Dimes! Again, a huge thank you to all of those who volunteered at the fundraiser last month!
Is everyone excited for Nationals?! The State Officer Team has been working tirelessly to develop programs for National
Leadership Conference. We have finished choosing Nevada’s spirit items and hope all of our members will make sure the rest of the nation knows that Nevada FBLA’s Not Slowing Down! Also, our Executive Vice President, Matthew Edgington, is running for Western Region Vice President at the National Leadership Conference. We wish him the best of luck and ask that you support
both him and Nevada FBLA by helping at his campaign booth! I hope to see everyone sweeping the stage at NLC and wish you good luck in your competitions!
